Update from the Well

Hey everyone! This is my second post of the day. I figure I should have one post about the big news and one about everything else, so here we go!

Over the past few months, I’ve been figuring out more and more who I am as a spiritual being. I’ve learned what pagan sacred days mean the most to me, I’ve learned more about the sect of magic that I’m building, I’ve learned that I’m excited to be a mother, and so much more.

It’s really an amazing feeling to finally know what direction I’m heading spiritually. In November, when I had that spiritual crisis, I completely started over with my religion/spirituality. All I knew at that point were the very basics of my belief system. Everything else was come-as-it-may.

The best way I can think to describe it is that in November, I started building a train track, but the only pieces that I had at the time were the outer tracks. The wooden planks have been coming to me along the way.

So far on this journey, I’ve discovered quite a few resources that can and do help me to build my spiritual belief system. Books, the wisdom of those around me, and most importantly things in nature have been teaching me about myself and about my beliefs.

My little one is growing every day, and each time he/she nudges me, I’m reminded that he/she is constantly growing and shaping, and that the cycle of time for him/her as already begun, and that a new timeline has also begun for me. This revelation has led to quite a few spiritual breakthroughs that I may share here at a later date, or that I may keep private until the time that I release my book.

As for my book, I have made quite a few large steps in the writing process. I started an outline for the book, which has sort of become a working table of contents. Ever since I started this outline, it’s been easier for me to sit down and write different chapters, single pages, and so forth. I’ve made a lot of progress, but there’s still a long way to go before it’s even near complete!

About 2 weeks ago, I started reading Raven Grimassi’s The Cauldron of Memory. The book is about using pathworking and other spellwork to retrieve ancestral memories and to make contact with your ancestors, to learn from them. With that sort of description, of course I was interested right away. Picking up the book, I expected that I would learn new things, which I have. But I’ve also gained a new perspective on some things that I already knew, and when an author can create that new perspective for me, I automatically have a high amount of respect for them.

I wrote to the author a few days ago, and I’m hoping that someday I will get a response. His knowledge in the craft alone is spectacular, and his knowledge in the things that I’m interested in such as time and memories seems equally fantastic. I would love to hear his perspective on things!

Well, for now, I must go! I’m hoping to finish The Cauldron of Memory by the end of the day.

New Life :)

Hello everyone!

I haven’t posted here in a few months, and that’s because my internet at home is down. I come back to you with some good news: I’m 4 ½ months pregnant! In May, my boyfriend and I will be finding out the gender of our little one. It took us a while, but we have names picked out.

For a boy, we have Jasper Vincent. Jasper is for the stone, and Vincent is for Vincent Van Gogh, one of our favorite artists.

For a girl we have Elysia Selene. Elysia is for the Elysian Fields of Greek mythology, which is the place in the Underworld where the just, honorable, and moral souls end up after death. Selene is for the Greek moon goddess of the same name.

I am thrilled to be bringing new life into the world. It took me a while to get past the panicking part of finding out that I’m pregnant, and moving on to the happiness and excitement, but I’m finally here. Blessings to all!

Be Seeing You!
